DemonstratorOptEst

Description: Demonstrator for the optimal estimation of the source vector from a subset of transform coefficients in an channelerror-robust MDC-(multiple description coding) image coding/transmission system. The technique is described in this paper.

SoundFrequencyMapper

Description:

This program performs a "real-time" shifting of a sound frequency range of the sound card input signal and writes the result to the sound card output.

The shifting is either frequency range to base-band, base-band to frequency range or simply bandpass filtering.

Notice that using high frequencies (over 8 kHz) requires good sound hardware, since most laptop build-in microphones are too restricted in their frequency response.

The program performs a block-overlapping FFT transform with 50% overlapping. You can choose the FFT length, the used window function, the mapping type, the sampling frequency and of course the frequency range.
